Posted on Google D WhiteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This B&B was one of the best I have been too. The food was great. The bedroom was very comfy and the bathroom was luxurious. It really felt like I was staying at nana's house!Posted on Google Mike WrightTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a wonderful 3 night stay at Heathers b&b. She was warm and accommodating from the moment we arrived until the minute we left. Our room was bright and clean with an en suite that was fully stocked with everything you’d ever need. Breakfast was excellent, full and generous with copious amounts of tea or coffee. We had a couple of nice chats with Heather in her own lounge which felt homely and by the time we left it was like saying goodbye to an old friend. I’d have no hesitation in staying at Heathers again if we’re in that part of the world.Posted on Google Edie EdykisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I stayed at Heather’s B&B and it is a home away from home. Clean and comfortable. Lovely Heather is always ready to help and accommodate your needs. I definitely recommend this place.Posted on Google Joelle TaminTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve had a lovely 3 nights staying at this b&b, so I’d just like to thank Heather very much for being a brilliant host. She’s very warm and welcoming and we had some great chats - she recommended the pub across the road for dinner, and I do too! The room was great too - beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, and very clean (bathroom - squeaky clean!). All in all, an excellent place and I’d recommend staying here to everyone. Great for solo travellers btw! Thank you Heather!Posted on Google Theo PapkeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our two night stay at Heather’s began with very warm welcome; we were shown to a very comfortable light and bright room. Everything was spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable. We’d driven down on a very warm day and were treated to cold drinks in the garden. Heather’s very friendly. and open nature made us feel very welcome, we really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Heather's welcome and the homely atmosphere topped off a restful stay at a B&B handy for the New Forest, Highcliffe and ChristchurchPosted on Tripadvisor Dyson PVerified Excellent Great place to stay Heather couldn’t have been more helpful even book us a meal at the local pub. Welcome tea and cake. Magic. Great value for money excellent breakfast, very comfortable beds large room what’s not to like. Ten out of tenPosted on Tripadvisor Compass50748054379Verified Extreme Caution Required I wish that I had the time/inclination to write more about our extremely challenging stay at this so called bed and breakfast business. I will start off by saying that after I booked our 2-night stay on-line via the B&B’s own direct website, I received a phone call from the owner; Heather, who started our conversation by stating that she couldn’t believe that I had managed to get our booking at such a ridiculously low price (as if it was my fault). I told her that it was advertised at that price on her own website and she then went into a full blown account of how wonderful/luxurious both her and her business were and that if I wished to keep my booking I would need to pay in cash only. Stupidly/reluctantly I agreed that I would pay her in cash at the end of our stay. The next communication, I received from her was a few days before our stay and was a phone call from her asking us about our ETA followed by further confirmation that we would be settling our bill in cash……she is quite frankly; very abrupt in the way she speaks to you and definitely thinks she is doing you a great favour at being allowed to stay at her wonderfully luxurious abode. A few days later we arrived at the B&B which in fairness is a pleasant enough looking property in a nice area but quite far from Christchurch itself. At first, Heather appeared pleasant enough and even offered us tea with allegedly home-made cake???? But after a short period she started to lay down the rules of her establishment…..we were told in no uncertain terms that any excessive noise after 9pm was strictly forbidden and that she expected our TV to be turned right down low. We were then asked what we wanted for our breakfasts as she needed to know the night before. She then went on to ask what time we wanted our breakfasts, only to be told in the next breath that we would in fact be having our breakfast at 8.30am as it suited her and that she didn’t cook anything past this time as it was all freshly prepared and cooked for us. Breakfasts were okay but nothing to write home about, my egg was overcooked and my wife’s breakfast was served up about 5 minutes or so after mine…..she forgot to serve baked beans and forgot a hash-brown but simply plonked it on my plate as I was finishing off my breakfast. There was no offer of more tea/coffee refills or, if we wanted more toast etc. The two rooms offered to guests are quite simply a couple of dual purpose bedrooms situated on the first floor within the attic/roofline. We had a terrible first nights sleep due to hearing the traffic noise from the busy road to the front of the house plus the pouring rain bouncing off the roof and velux windows. In fairness; it was pouring with rain all night but nonetheless, surprisingly noisy! The second night was slightly better as it wasn’t raining but the traffic noise and nearby train line was still very evident. Our room had en-suite facilities including a small enclosed shower unit along with wc and basin. Our bathroom is clearly used by the owner when not let out to guests as there is a separate vanity unit in the en-suite with the owners personal toiletries laid out on the vanity unit and also in the shower caddy. We requested our room to be made up as a double but found that the bed had 2 single duvets. The owners personal items and clothing were left in the wardrobe units and it was very evident that the owner made full use of this room and hopefully only, when guests are not staying! Our room was not serviced between nights or the beds made up, cups washed up etc. I could go on but I won’t even the saga of her meeting us at the front door on returning from our meal on the first night where she was wearing just her nighty!……suffice to say that this B&B is well below par and I would go as far to say that the owner; Heather is like an unleashed guard dog that can get dangerously out of control if left untethered……Approach with extreme caution! Due to her insistent demand that I should pay her in cash…..I decided to not do so and kept the cash in my pocket and reluctantly paid her the full amount by credit card hoping that the relevant authorities would deduct any due fees. Don’t be fooled by the 5* reviews you may see when searching as there are plenty of lesser such reviews if you care to look further back.Posted on Tripadvisor SandraVerified Lovely stay at The Heather’s BB We had a lovely stay at this B&B in Christchurch. The room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, with excellent beds that gave us a great night’s sleep. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious freshly prepared breakfast. Highly recommended! The location is also perfect, close to the New Forest area, where you can enjoy beautiful walks and cycling routes through stunning nature and charming villages.Posted on Tripadvisor Odyssey05422864316Verified Enjoyable stay - like staying with a family member! I enjoyed a two night stay at Heather’s while visiting the area for a friend’s wedding at Highcliffe Castle. I had a very enjoyable experience that included staying in the cozy double room, which was spacious and comfortable. Additionally, Heather welcomed me with a yummy apple cake, and made me a delicious full English breakfast the next morning. It didn’t feel awkward visiting while someone else was in the home; I really enjoyed speaking with Heather! She was super welcoming and helpful toward me - she even ironed my dress before the wedding and offered to call me a taxi! Overall, if you’re looking for a personal experience than staying a hotel, I’d book with Heather!Posted on Tripadvisor Peter PVerified A very warm welcome and comfy one night stay We had a one night stop over at Heathers bed and breakfast. On arrival Heather gave us a very warm welcome providing tea and dorset apple cake. The rooms and beds were very comfortable with tea and coffee facilities also tv and wifi. A lovely full english brakfast or a choice of fruit, yogurt or cereal. Thank you HeatherPosted on Tripadvisor Jamie CVerified Very nice stay I stayed for one night. Heather was lovely and did everything she could to make me as comfortable as possible. The room was very nice with a very comfy bed.
